-MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FROM TCEQ-

Hose Bib Vacuum Breakers -
TCEQ requires every outside faucet to have Hose Bib Vacuum Breakers on them.

From TCEQ’s Website:

Your Role as a Water Customer
By taking steps to control cross connections and prevent the possibility of backflow at your home, you will help to protect the public water supply and ensure that your family continues to enjoy safe drinking water. Garden hoses and irrigation systems are common concerns.
If backflow happens, your household’s water lines could be contaminated. Depending on how long the backflow event lasts, the contamination could spread to the public drinking water system. Fortunately, there is an inexpensive way to solve this problem:

•Install a hose bib vacuum breaker on each of your outside faucets. These inexpensive devices are designed to allow water to flow in only one direction. You can find them at most home supply stores and through plumbing suppliers. Before you use a hose-end sprayer, you should first install a hose bib vacuum breaker at the faucet.

We have some available for purchase at the office for $7.50 each, this includes tax. We will continue to make periodic inspections to make sure everyone meets the requirements.

Flushing Notice for Sheridan & Lake Sheridan

Flushing Notice for Sheridan & Lake Sheridan

This is a reminder to our members that a flushing will happen for all of Sheridan and Lake Sheridan.

This will be an all-day flushing from 8am-5pm.

When:  Monday March 10, 2025

You may experience low pressure during this time. Flushing of the water lines can sometimes result in the agitation of existing sediment in the lines.  This is normal and poses no risk to health or safety.  As a result, you may temporarily see a slight change in the color of your water.  If this occurs, we recommend that you run your water to help clear out the lines.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
